My work derives from my early interest in film and particularly screenwriting. I use photography as well as writing for the basis of my work . However the photographs and the various texts that illustrate them have been found randomly. They come from trash bins, discarded postcards and letters, flea-markets. They are abandoned memories, forgotten dreams, thoughts of all kind. The found photographs are then digitally transformed and mixed with other elements such as text and background. Because I love words and the poetry they allow to create, I also care about the calligrapy that I consider to be everyone’s personal art form. In magnifying and exposing the calligraphic styles of various strangers with unsuspected poetic abilities, I also hope to transmit aspects of the writer’s personality to the piece.
It is the writer and the filmmaker in me who have inspired this creative path. The actors and the writers are anonymous. The end result is a collaboration of three individuals who have most likely never met, a writer, an actor and a director.
